Introducing the Team: Sam Woolhead

Enjoying the creative process of editing has been a more recent turn in Sam's career. Formerly, he worked at the University of St Andrews engaged in community-level climate action with communications and marketing forming playing a significant part of his role. In this time, Sam wrote weekly newsletters, managed the team’s website content, oversaw social media marketing, and supported funding applications. Alongside this he began editing Masters dissertations and PhD applications finding a joy in supporting others to convey their message. And voluntarily, Sam has written for student publications and funding applications for community development projects.

With six years of experience, Sam truly appreciates the vital importance of quality writing for a range of purposes. Whether it is in engaging communities, telling an inspiring story, convincing funders to support a project, or concisely and coherently communicating academic research. As a writer as well as an editor, he also sympathises with the challenges people face. But teamwork can really make the dream work. He views content editing as a creative and personal process, aiding someone in weaving a narrative that conveys the most powerful and direct message.
